Background

Having completed extensive medical nutrition research at Baylor College of Medicine in how our diet affects gene expression for diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, and certain types of cancer, I strongly believe in gradual and individualized meal planning for your unique lifestyle, nutrition requirements, food preferences, and health needs.  My approach is to create small, incremental and sustainable goals since lasting changes take time to build. Unfortunately, the media has led many to believe that quick and easy fad diets are a magical cure, but at best they are unsustainable and at worst they cause negative health consequences.  My passion lies in helping those  struggling with weight loss, heart disease, type 2 diabetes,  Irritable Bowel Syndrome, autoimmune disease and kidney disease.  As someone who has counseled several hundreds  of patients through medical nutrition therapy, I strongly believe each one deserves a uniquely-tailored approach since that is what gets long-term results; these results include permanent weight loss, diabetes with A1C and blood sugar levels within normal range, and gastrointestinal diseases with symptoms significantly more controlled. I am excited to start our lasting and effective nutrition journey together- with delicious and healthy foods  to fit your needs and taste buds!
