Background

Hi, I’m Jessica, a Registered Dietitian with over 20 years of experience in the field. My background is rooted in pediatric nutrition, where I’ve spent much of my career supporting children and families, but I also have extensive experience working with adults across a range of health conditions. In addition to my clinical work, I teach Medical Nutrition Therapy at the university level and serve as the Director of a Graduate Nutrition Program, where I have the privilege of preparing the next generation of dietitians for meaningful, evidence-based practice. I’m passionate about mentoring, advancing the profession, and helping individuals at all stages of life improve their health through compassionate, individualized care.

In any role I take on—whether it’s working with patients, mentoring students, or leading a program—I value authenticity, curiosity, and mutual respect. I strive to create supportive, inclusive environments where people feel heard, empowered, and equipped to reach their goals. I don’t expect perfection; I expect effort, growth, and a willingness to show up and engage. I’m here not to judge, but to partner—whether you’re learning to navigate your career or your health.

A little more about me personally: I’m someone who finds joy in small things—a great cup of coffee, a long walk, or a drive with the music up. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking and baking, and spending time with my family. I believe in lifelong learning and bring that same energy into my work, always seeking new ways to grow and connect.

What drives me is the belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate care, evidence-based information, and opportunities to thrive. Nutrition is a tool, not a rulebook, and I’m passionate about helping people use it in ways that make sense for their unique lives. I’m excited to be part of your journey and look forward to what we’ll accomplish together.

"I bring a compassionate, patient-centered approach to nutrition care. I believe that lasting change comes from meeting clients where they are—emotionally, physically, and socially—and supporting them in reaching their goals, not imposing a one-size-fits-all plan."
