Background

I am grateful to say I have been a Registered Dietitian CDN for over 30 years. I have worked for hospitals in various departments such as Psychology, Detox, Med/Surgical Floors as well as ICU. I have also worked in nursing homes and was a Chief Clinical Dietitian for both a hospital and nursing home. I managed dietitians and was responsible for quality assurance and survey readiness. I have counseled patients at physicians’ offices in group lecture settings and worked individually with clients. My most recent position involved counseling hundreds of patients on GLP-1 medications. At my current position as a Compliance Officer for an Orthotic & Prosthetic company I continue to ensure patients are provided the best quality care. As an RD, I simply believe in empowering clients to embrace a healthy way of living through the food we enjoy and the life we lead. As we are all individuals our approach to food plans is unique as well. Many chronic illnesses can be treated effectively with diet and education. It’s never too late to learn about healthy food options.   Most importantly we can prevent many illnesses with the proper diet and lifestyle choices.  I enjoy an active lifestyle and include many outdoor activities as part of my weekly exercise routine. I have also enjoyed cooking for my 4 children over the years and now my grandson. I believe we all need to continue to learn about current nutritional findings and ways to incorporate healthy foods into our diet.  We also need to be current with nutritional trends on social media as they are influencing our choices as well.
