As a Registered Dietitian and former primary care physician, I am deeply committed to empowering people to take control of their health through sustainable lifestyle changes.

My journey into nutrition began after completing medical school and practicing as a primary care physician for five years. During that time, I experienced a personal health challenge, my cholesterol levels rose significantly. Unwilling to rely on medication, I sought to address the root cause through diet and exercise. This life-changing experience sparked a deep passion for prevention and led me to pursue a Ph.D. in nutrition, followed by a master’s degree and a dietetic internship to become a Registered Dietitian.

With over a decade of experience in both clinical care and research, I bring a unique and comprehensive perspective on nutrition and health. I’ve provided individualized nutrition counseling at the Wake Forest Baptist Health Integrative Medicine Clinic and contributed to NIH-funded research at the Wake Forest Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, studying nutrition and lifestyle interventions to support brain health and reduce the risk of cognitive decline.

My approach is holistic, practical, and patient-centered. I specialize in helping individuals manage a wide range of conditions, including weight management, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, kidney stones, and other inflammatory disorders, by developing personalized and sustainable nutrition plans. I focus on moving beyond restrictive diets and toward meaningful lifestyle changes that support long-term success.

Outside of work, I enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, swimming, traveling, and cooking. I love sharing healthy meals with friends and exploring the power of food to nourish both body and soul.

I became a dietitian because I believe deeply in food as medicine and prevention. I’m passionate about helping people discover that power for themselves, and I look forward to supporting you on your health journey.
