About Me
I’m Jamie Olivo, a dedicated and compassionate dietitian with over 17 years of experience, specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and gut health issues such as IBS and inflammatory bowel disease. My journey into the field of nutrition began with a deep desire to help others, which was initially sparked by my childhood experiences and my father's struggle with an eating disorder. This personal connection to the challenges of disordered eating drives my commitment to my clients, helping them rebuild a healthy relationship with food and their bodies.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across various levels of care, from intensive outpatient programs to residential treatment centers, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in treating eating disorders. My approach is highly individualized, meeting each client where they are and using a combination of intuitive eating, mindful eating, and behavioral therapies to guide them towards recovery. I believe in the power of compassionate care, where the focus is not just on the food itself but on healing the underlying relationship with food and fostering a sense of body trust.
