I became a Registered Dietitian, because I wanted to help people to live a healthy life. I believe nutrition is the foundation for good health and for the prevention and management of all disease. I do not believe in "going on a diet", because this automatically means that any changes made will only be temporary. Instead, I believe in making small, but impactful changes over time that result in permanent health and wellness gains.
I have been a Registered Dietitian for 37 years and hold a BS in Clinical Dietetics and MS in Health Education and Fitness Management. I have extensive experience in health promotion/disease prevention as well as in the management of chronic diseases. I am also an Integrative and Functional Dietitian, so I am able to use a root cause approach and advise clients on natural alternatives that can increase wellness and longevity.
On a personal level, I enjoy fitness activities and believe that nutrition and exercise go hand in hand in achieving good health. I practice what I preach! You can be sure that anything I recommend to you is something that I would do myself. I also enjoy cooking and can share many recipes for all types of food so that you may continue to enjoy your favorites while working toward your nutrition goals.
