Amanda began her health role as a Certified Personal Trainer in 2013. After a few years of being asked nutrition frequently questions by clients and humbly stating that was not within her scope of practice decided she was very interested in making a transition into dietetics. Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and Master of Science in Applied Nutrition at Southeast Missouri State University as well as completing their dietetic internship which had a focus in nutrition education. Amanda received the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential at the end of August 2021 and immediately began practicing in acute care the next month and has been in that setting ever since as well has taught a few section of introductory nutrition at Southeast Missouri State University. Amanda specializes in general nutrition, weight management, diabetes nutrition management, GI health, heart health (including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and stroke), and aging health.
