I have always had a fascination with nutrition and the desire to use my knowledge and experience to help others make sense of diabetes management since I was diagnosed with type-1 diabetes. My over 15yrs of personal experience living with diabetes has driven me to earn my nutritional sciences degree, become a clinical Registered Dietitian, and earn my Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential. Though my specialty lies with diabetes management, I also focus on heart health, gut health, wellness, and sports nutrition.
I am an advocate for activity as part of our health no matter our conditions. I have experience competing in 8 different sports with over 12yrs of athletic experience as a thrower in track and field including competing on the University of Arizona’s track and field team. I continue to train and throw to this day now as a professional Highland Games competitor. I love finding ways to modify and build activity into everyday life in addition to nutritional strategies.
I draw on my personal and professional experiences when working with my clients. You can expect to be understood and like you have a clear, simple plan that suits you. I aim to help you identify your barriers and troubleshoot creative solutions to meet your goals, together.
