Diane Bussolini, RD

Hi! I'm Diane and I'm a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. 

I received my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Saint Jospeh College in West Hartford, CT . My undergrad supervised practice program was at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. 

I have 25+ years experience as a dietitian and 20+ years experience as a diabetes educator. In 2021, I was honored as CT's Diabetes Educator of the Year!

Most of my work has been in clinical settings including a large inner city clinic where I was the coordinator our diabetes education program. I also managed patients with other co-morbidities such as hypertension and elevated cholesterol. 

I am currently working as a bariatric and medical weight management dietitian at a hospital medical group. It has been such a rewarding experience helping clients prepare for surgery and then guide them post surgery as they adapt to a new way of life. 

I am well-versed in the newer generation anti-obesity medications which helps me counsel clients choosing these life-changing therapies. It is so important for clients on these therapies to have comprehensive care including nutrition counseling by a RDN.

I remain up-to-date in nutrition research so I can provide the best care possible to my clients and would love the opportunity to work with you.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy classic rock music and going to concerts, wineries and breweries, nature hikes and my 'new' sourdough bread hobby!
