Elizabeth Shidler, RD

Hello and welcome! My name is Elizabeth Shidler, and I have been a dietitian for 5 years with over 7 years of nutrition experience along with 14 years of personal weight loss and health journey. I have had the opportunity to work in many settings such as Long-term care, dialysis, and telehealth. I began going to WW at the age of 12 and this contributed to the desire to become a dietitian. I have always had an interest in alternative medicine, but the interest grew as I saw Dr. Terry Wahls speak on her ability to change her diet, allowing her to go from totally wheelchair bound with MS to thriving and biking 16 miles a day in one year. I am currently enrolled at John Patrick University receiving my Master's in Integrative and Functional Medicine which has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in the holistic world and understand what it means to truly heal people and even myself. I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism which has made it even harder to lose weight. Methods that had worked for me in the past no longer worked so I came up with new methods to help myself break through these hormonal issues and become healthy. I enjoy passing this knowledge onto my clients and watching them feel like themselves again.

I am originally from Minnesota and received my bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota where I decided I was sick of the cold so I ended up moving to the Sunshine state, FL. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my two beagles, Cher and Sookie!
