Emelie's interest in nutrition began in high school when she started paying closer attention to food labels and ingredients. This is also when her passion for cooking took off and she would host dinner parties for her friends. Emelie went on to study at the University of New Hampshire where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in EcoGastronomy and Nutrition and Wellness. After college, she worked as Dietary Technician for a few years. This work inspired her to go back to school and complete a Didactic program to become a Registered Dietitian. In conjunction, she also obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition.
Emelie has now worked as a Dietitian for six years and feels her experience in nutrition education, weight management and disease prevention will be particularly valuable to her future patients. Her philosophy is that small changes lead to big results and she will provide the guidance and education needed to accomplish sustainable lifestyle changes and help her patients meet their personal goals. Emelie believes in teaching patients how to enjoy their favorite foods and live a life without restrictions.
When Emelie is not busy educating others about healthy lifestyles, you might find her at a brewery or going for a run in preparation for her next half marathon. She also enjoys reading murder mysteries, traveling and spending time with her cat, Kiki.
