Background

Hello and welcome! I’ve been working in the field of dietetics for over 18 years, with the last 13 working for a top health insurance company. During that time, I’ve spent over 26,000 hours treating and counseling over 15,000 clients. I’ve helped my patients manage various health conditions including weight management, diabetes, bariatric, gastrointestinal health, oncology, renal, cardiovascular, PCOS, menopause, thyroid health and autoimmune disorders. In addition, I have given presentations and educated fellow dieticians about treatment of children with disabilities such as diabetes and ASD. Finally, I have extensive experience working with clients seeking assistance with weight, diabetes management, and improving their cardiac health.

In addition to receiving my B.S. in Dietetics from Baylor University, I completed my Masters in Dietetics from Sam Houston State, am a Board-Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and have received my certification in Adult Weight Management from the Academy of Dietetics. I am also up to date with all the latest weight loss medications on the market.

My passion for dietetics stems from my own battles with weight management and gut health issues. I have a passion for helping others and believe that with regular collaboration and support, everyone can make positive changes in their behaviors. Care is individualized for your current lifestyle, stage of life, and resources. I am honored to serve as a trusted partner in each client’s journey towards optimal health and vitality.

What to expect: Using an evidence-based, client centered approach to nutrition counseling that prioritizes the unique needs, goals and values of each client. During our appointment, we will navigate nutrition and lifestyle habits, mental health and wellbeing, address barriers and concerns, and build the steps needed to reach your goals. My goal is to have you feeling empowered and have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to build and sustain life-long habits that don’t feel like a chore.

I am a native Texan, but recently moved to Colorado. In my spare time, I Iove watching college football and hiking. I absolutely love pugs (especially geriatric pugs) and do my best to support both Dallas and Colorado pug rescues.
