Hello, my name is Kerri and I have worked for over 25 years as a registered dietitian. I became a dietitian because I enjoy and am very passionate about helping others.
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Food and Nutrition with a Minor in American Indian Studies from San Diego State University and went on to complete my post-graduate dietetic internship at California State University, Long Beach. Before starting my family, I earned my Master of Science Degree in Human Nutrition through the University of New Haven.
I started my career working with the WIC Program where I had the privilege of working with pregnant and breastfeeding mothers as well as infants and children. I also have experience working as an inpatient and outpatient dietitian in hospitals, working as a weight loss corporate dietitian, working with intellectually disabled individuals, working with school aged children, and working with older adults. In my current position, I provide nutrition counseling to veterans. I feel blessed that my experience enables me to work with people of all ages.
What is my philosophy when working with clients? I strongly believe in meeting you wherever you are on your health journey. I will be there to guide, encourage and support you. I feel that focusing on making small changes over time leads to life-long healthier living. I am a weight inclusive and health at every size dietitian. My goal is to empower you and guide you to meet your goals. I look forward to working with you and supporting you with your health goals.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my cats. I enjoy reading books, traveling and exploring new places.
