Hi! My name is Lauren Cadranel, and I knew I wanted to be a Registered Dietitian since I was 11 years old. When I was a young girl, a professional nutritionist helped me lose 20 pounds and dramatically improve my self-esteem. That experience inspired me and changed the course of my life. More important, it taught me the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and sparked a strong desire to pursue a career in dietetics with the hope of having the same positive impact on others.
I graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences with a degree in Dietetics (GO DAWGS!). I also obtained my Master of Science degree with a concentration in health and Nutrition from Georgia State University where I worked in the Georgia State Lab for Elite Sports Nutrition, assessing and counseling the university’s athletes and the Atlanta Falcons football players. I then went on to complete my Dietetic Internship studies and rotations through Priority Nutrition Care and am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Illinois. I also hold a Certificate of Training in Obesity for Pediatrics and Adults. I have been working in the field of bariatrics for the last 5 years and I am passionate about making nutrition education understandable to all through a positive and supportive environment. My aim is to help others develop long term lifestyle changes by building healthy dietary habits, one goal at a time.
In addition to nutrition, I enjoy spending time with family, my boyfriend, and our dogs Sadie and Roxley, CrossFit training, dance, culinary arts, football, and world travel.
