I currently live in Gulf Shores, Alabama which is on the Gulf Coast. I have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and received a Master's degree in Health Promotion/Education. I am originally from Laurel, Mississippi, but most of my dietetics career has been in Nashville, Tennessee where I lived for 20 years. I have experience in multiple areas of nutrition including inpatient (at the VA Hospital at Vanderbilt), renal (dialysis, pre-dialysis, and transplant), nutrition support (tube feedings and total parenteral nutrition), as well as a variety of outpatient areas (weight loss, weight gain, diabetes, heart healthy, GERD, and many others), and research for a major kidney disease study conducted at Vanderbilt University. I love to cook, and incorporate my experience with cooking to enhance my nutrition recommendations and therapies with my individual clients. I have found over my many years of experience, that everyone is different! I enjoy getting to know my clients and creating an individualized plan that works for them and creates positive results. Other than cooking, my hobbies include boating, skating, and relaxing on the beach. I look forward to continuing helping others and utilizing food and nutrition to enhance quality of life.
