Megan Carnahan, RD

Hello! I am a registered dietitian with a desire to help individuals establish a healthy relationship with food and use the power of nutrition to help prevent and improve chronic health conditions. I’m glad you are considering working with an RD to help you take better control of your health; we all want to help you be successful! With that being said, I understand the process can be overwhelming at times. As a result, I like to focus on small sustainable changes that can lead to realistic long-term results vs frustration and defeat. I have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics & have worked in the outpatient setting for over three years helping patients with a wide variety of conditions such as: Diabetes, CKD, CVD, high cholesterol, HTN, obesity, IBS/IBD, GERD, metabolic syndrome, cancer, fatty liver, etc. In addition, I have worked alongside patients simply wanting to learn about and improve their health/wellness and develop nutrition plans. I also utilize Intuitive Eating concepts to help folks develop a deeper understanding behind their thoughts/emotions around food. There are so many rules and labels around food these days that make people feel like eating is a chore and lose their excitement around food. I aim to change that and get to know what motivates you! I practice what I preach and enjoy what I do. Outside of work I also enjoy playing tennis, working out, spending time with friends and family, & anything outdoors.
