I’m Rebecca! I’m a Registered Dietitian with more than 3 years of diverse experience in the nutrition field.
I first obtained an undergraduate degree in Accounting in 2018. After working in public accounting for a summer, I knew my heart was in health and nutrition - not accounting - and I decided to go back to school to become a dietitian.
I completed my DPD coursework (the coursework required to get accepted into an internship program, the almost-final step to become a dietitian) at CUNY Queens College. I was then accepted into Sodexo’s Dietetic Internship program and completed my clinical training at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. I spent additional time in the ICU and NICU, as well as completing a rotation with BALANCE, a renowned eating disorder treatment center in Manhattan.
At the same time as my dietetic internship, I obtained my Master’s degree through a remote program with the University of Rhode Island. I focused my research primarily on screening for eating disorders amongst bariatric surgery patients.
I now primarily work at an eating disorder treatment center in Greenwich, and I’m super passionate about helping people win their lives back from their eating disorders.
As a “thyroid warrior” and Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis sufferer myself, I’m also passionate about nutrition for thyroid health, as well as women’s health topics such as PCOS and pre, peri and postnatal nutrition.
My counseling style is compassionate and exploratory. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, and I find most success with my clients through a collaborative, flexible approach.
