I am a Registered Dietitian, with over 15 years of experience in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. I earned my Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Georgia State University and Undergraduate Degree in Nutrition from Sardar Patel University, India.
I have worked as a Clinical Dietitian at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) medical center and currently work at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. I have extensive experience working as a consulting dietitian with people suffering from a wide range of clinical conditions, including gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disease and disordered eating. I also work with women suffering from complex pregnancy-related issues (such as gestational diabetes, hyperemesis gravidarum, irritable bowel disease flares, renal disease). I am also a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician and work with critically ill patients with complex surgical and medical issues and provide Nutrition therapy via Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition.
I am passionate about nutrition. My philosophy is to meet my clients where they are, and provide step-by-step individualized nutrition therapy. Being of Indian origin, I am particularly passionate about developing interventions to suit persons of South Asian origin who prefer a South Asian diet, and have special expertise in working with people who follow vegan and vegetarian diets. My overarching goal is help my clients achieve their goals without having to compromise on the pleasures of food.
I am fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 2 boys and husband. I enjoy cooking, traveling, hiking and reading.
