Hi there! I'm Sue Deepak, a Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of experience in the field. I'm passionate about helping people improve their health and wellbeing through nutrition. I hold a Master's degree in Consumer Science and Dietetics from San Francisco State University as well as Bachelor's and second Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from my native country India. I also have a Certificate of training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition with over 500 hours of training. I love that my education allows me to bring together the best of two nutritional cultures.
With over 25 years as a Registered Dietitian, I have honed my skills in providing personalized nutrition counseling and education to empower clients to reach their health goals. My counseling style starts with compassionate listening. I take the time to thoroughly understand each client’s unique needs, preferences, and barriers when it comes to nutrition. I excel at guiding clients through behavior changes in a supportive, non-judgmental manner. My education background equips me to translate complex nutrition information into simple, practical recommendations clients can realistically apply in their everyday lives.
While I have expertise in areas like weight management, chronic kidney disease, metabolic disorders like diabetes and digestive issues, I recognize that one-size-fits-all approaches are not effective. That’s why I customize nutrition interventions specifically for each client. I partner with them to set realistic goals and develop individualized meal plans that fit into their routines and cultural preferences. Ongoing monitoring and encouragement help keep clients motivated over the long-term.
At the end of the day, helping people discover the joy of healthy eating and its incredible benefits, is what it's all about for me. There is no greater reward than seeing clients gain energy, improve chronic conditions, and enhance their quality of life through nutrition. I feel privileged to be a partner in their wellness journeys. Let me know if you'd ever like to chat about your nutrition goals. I'd be happy to help.
