Tanisha Bandoo is a registered dietitian nutritionist licensed in New York, Connecticut, Texas, and Florida. She has worked with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults at residential, IOP/PHP, and outpatient levels. At these facilities, she led cooking and nutrition education groups, provided meal support, and developed comprehensive nutritional meal plans. She has experience with avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa, binge eating, executive functioning, and other nutritional medical conditions.
Tanisha understands that there are many dynamics to one’s eating disorder. She will work with your providers, family, and support systems and meet you where you’re at in your recovery journey. Her approach to counseling is customized, evidence-based, warm, and empathetic. She utilizes motivational interviewing and intuitive eating principles to guide clients in understanding the balance of enjoyment and wellness with one’s relationship with food.
Tanisha is pursuing her certification as a registered yoga teacher and hopes to incorporate mindfulness and movement-based therapy into her practice, offering a holistic approach to supporting individuals with eating disorders.
