Frequently Asked Questions
We are a national network of registered dietitians, on a mission to help independent registered dietitians thrive and to help people eat better and live better.
No, dietitians use the Fay platform to start and grow successful private practices. You will be the star of your own show and the lead of your own book of business, not an employee. At the end of the year, you’ll file your own taxes using 1099 tax forms provided by Fay.
We rely on marketing and partnerships with other healthcare providers in order to bring more clients to Fay and connect them with you.
No! Fay will not restrict your current practice, but help it expand. We will make the process easy for you to onboard your existing clients to Fay if they want to use insurance, and credentialing through Fay will also not restrict your ability to see self-pay clients under your own tax ID.
There are no minimum number of hours commitment to join Fay. We are here to support you as a partner, not to dictate how you practice.
We take care of all the work needed to get you authorized with insurance companies. Once we kick-off that process, the insurance companies will tell us your official start dates. This can sometimes take 6 to 8 months, but Fay can accelerate the process and can get you started in 1 to 3 months.
Our referral partners pay us separately for providing them with a group of top-tier, in-network dietitians that they can refer patients to. The contracted rates we share with you during onboarding are what you are guaranteed to be paid per appointment and we do not take any cut from your contracted rate.
Yes, you’ll need to sign credentialing documents and agree to our terms of service agreement for providers.
No! It's completely free to join Fay.
