Expectations:
When you work with me, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your body’s needs and how to manage them effectively using a mind and body approach. I focus on long-term healing from health concerns and get to the root-cause of your nutritional issues.
Our sessions will provide you with personalized nutrition and lifestyle plans designed to address your specific health concerns, from managing blood sugar levels, achieving hormonal balance and sustainable weight loss. This will include nutritional tips, meal plans, macronutrient targets, habit tracking, and mindset strategies. You’ll leave with the ability to make lasting changes, as well as ongoing support to keep you on track to heal.
I specialize in sustainable weight loss, diabetes management, hormonal issues (PCOS), women’s health and oncology care. My practice is culturally inclusive, ensuring that my dietary and lifestyle recommendations align with your cultural preferences and personal values.
Credentials:
I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics and a graduate of accredited Northwell Health Dietetic Internship with a concentration in medical nutritional therapy.
Alongside being a registered dietitian nutritionist, I hold a board certification in being a diabetes education specialist.
With over years of experience in the field, I have been recognized for my contributions to health and nutrition for my expertise in oncology care, diabetes management, blood sugar control, metabolic issues, weight loss, and women’s health. I have worked both in outpatient clinics and in-patient hospital services all across New York City.
I have collaborated with non-profit health and wellness organizations to raise awareness and create resources for various health demographics such as cancer prevention, women with PCOS and gestational diabetes.
I am an active member of nutritional organizations such as LIAND, NYSAND, nutritional practice groups for oncology and integrative nutrition via the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
Personal:
Outside of my practice, I am a multi-faceted and colorful individual. I enjoy exploring new cuisines and experimenting with healthy recipes that reflect my rich ethnic heritage. I love history, art, nature and interior design. I love keeping up with current clean beauty and sustainable fashion trends and enjoy curating graphic design pieces of my own. (fun fact: I designed my own “hello-kitty website at 10 years old)! I’m also an avid reader and love spending time with my family. I enjoy keeping active with dance, pilates, yoga and hiking.
Drive:
My journey to becoming a Registered Dietitian was fueled by a passion for helping others achieve their best health. Growing up with a sick parent was eye-opening, and made me look within and examine the relationship between food, mind, body and disease. I realized that I wanted to help people heal their ailments via a root cause approach instead of a band-aid solution. I started my private practice to offer a more personalized, culturally sensitive approach that I felt was lacking in traditional settings, especially for women. I wanted to create a space for all cultures and demographics. Seeing the positive impact of tailored nutrition and holistic support on my clients’ lives is what drives me every day. My goal is to empower clients to reclaim their health and vitality with the guidance and understanding they deserve.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to wellness and helping you thrive!
