Alexis Cascone, RD

Food and nutrition have been cornerstones of my life for as long as I can remember. I initially became interested in nutrition to learn how to nourish myself and my clients with nutrient dense foods and to make sense of the abundant nutritional information that we are constantly seeing in the media.

After having my son, I became passionate about maternal health and lactation. The postpartum space is an incredibly vulnerable time for new Mothers, my goal is for you to feel supported and heard during a time that feels like your life may be upside down.

As many women feel at some point, my relationship with food and body during my early 20s was poor. It was at that time I took a look at how I could nourish myself with nutrient dense food and provide more flexibility within my eating. I believe in a team approach with the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating. Together we will make a plan for you to feel less anxiety around food choices, body neutrality, and have more mental space for things you enjoy that are outside of eating.

I completed my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science at the University of Connecticut. After finishing my nutrition education I went on to get further training with Monash University in the low FODMAP diet for individuals with irritable bowel syndrome.
