Background

As a Registered Dietitian and nutrition educator I am committed to helping individuals build a peaceful, balanced relationship with food. My approach to nutrition is compassionate, holistic, and grounded in a non-diet philosophy. I focus on seeing the whole person, not just symptoms or numbers, and work collaboratively with clients to support their physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

I hold a Master’s in Nutrition and have over seven years of clinical experience and more than ten years of teaching at the undergraduate level. I currently teach Food Science at Hunter and have research published in the Journal of Food Processing & Technology. In community health centers, I offer bilingual nutrition counseling focused on chronic conditions, digestive health, weight concerns, intuitive eating, and mindfulness. I’m passionate about helping clients move from restrictive diets to sustainable, personalized approaches that honor their bodies and values.

In my practice, I aim to create a warm, inclusive space where clients feel supported. I recognize that food choices are deeply personal and often shaped by cultural, emotional, and social influences. That’s why I take an individualized approach, helping clients understand the "why" behind their eating patterns and guiding them toward meaningful, sustainable behavior change.

Outside of work, I enjoy painting, running, and hiking, which keep me grounded and creative. I also cherish spending time with my niece and nephew, who remind me daily of the importance of play, curiosity, and connection.

Whether you’re navigating a health condition, seeking clarity around food, or simply looking to feel more at peace in your body, I’m here to support you with empathy, expertise, and respect. Together, we’ll work toward building a sustainable and nourishing approach to wellness that fits your life—not someone else’s idea of what it should look like.
