Andy Yurechko earned a bachelors of clinical nutrition in 3 1/2 years at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and a masters of clinical nutrition in 2 years at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008. Andy also completed an accredited dietetic internship from 2008-2009 and passed the national exam to become a Registered Dietitian.
Andy Yurechko is a Registered Dietitian who has 17 years of experience. Currently, Andy works at life care centers of america managing nutrition status for residents at 2 nursing homes. Andy worked throughout the hospital at Augusta university as an inpatient Dietitian. Andy was responsible for seeing the most complex patients in the ICU''s, collaborated with providers conducting research, and was also responsible for writing TPNS. Andy also participated in a national nutrition month research project, which identified nutrition deficiencies in patients. Andy has worked in outpatient clinics educating complex GI patients. He is an expert in FODMAP nutrition practices and worked with a world renown Gastroenterologist. He also helped bariatric clients achieve weight loss goals.
Andy has participated in television interviews, video documentaries, and contributed to local newspapers regarding nutrition and exercise topics. Andy had an abstract accepted at a national GI conference and presented a poster for a large crowd of gastroenterologists. Andy also contributed to a national GI newsletter Gastroenterology and Endoscopy news. Andy is not only interested in nutrition, but also physical fitness. He competed in the largest half iron man competition in the world in Augusta Georgia. He also enjoys swimming and competed at the collegiate level.
