Cora's interest in nutrition sparked from her Italian heritage and sensitive stomach. She loved cooking and eating with her Dad and Grandma, however, her stomach and heart would burn. She found ways to manipulate what she ate and with the help of her health conscious vegetarian mom, Cora learned how to use food and lifestyle as a form of medicine. This began her journey towards better physical and mental health and the start of a budding career.
Using medical nutrition therapy woven with teachings from her training as a registered yoga teacher Cora is happy to guide those dealing with digestive health, weight issues, insulin resistance with other hormone imbalances, and inflammation.
Cora holds a Bachelor's of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics from the University of Connecticut. During her 10 year career as a dietitian she has worked in a variety of settings including schools, grocery stores , community farms, and most rewarding in the outpatient setting.
Outside of her work Cora enjoys long walks with her small family, gardening, cooking, reading/writing, traveling, and crocheting. She is learning to play guitar and striving to become a better meditator.
