Background

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, dancer turned yoga & fitness instructor, and health coach. I live on the beautiful and humid Gulf Coast with my husband, 2 boys, and 3 dogs.I have been a practicing Dietitian since 2007 and have had the opportunity to work in various health settings. Currently, I see clients both virtually and in-person through my private practice, “Whole Self Care.” I also teach Barre3 and other dance and flow style fitness classes. When I’m not spending time with my family & friends, working with my wonderful clients, or teaching fitness classes; you are likely to find me dancing, writing, enjoying music, sometimes attempting to play music on the guitar or ukulele, singing loudly in my vehicle, and/or traveling (especially hiking) when I can!

After developing a passion for health at a very young age, I then endured my own journey of disordered eating, overexercise, stress, burn out, gut issues, and imbalanced hormones. Learning to focus on body attunement and nourishment-based eating led to improved mental and physical health, enhancing my passion for helping my clients do the same.

I am passionate about helping my clients truly care for themselves from the inside out. I use a "whole health" approach, looking at all factors possibly affecting eating habits and health. This may include exercise, stress, sleep, and ingrained health beliefs in addition to nutrition. I meet clients where they are and strive to be a strong source of support on their health journeys. I use an intuitive approach to nutrition, inspired by the principles of “Intuitive Eating.” This means using both inner wisdom of how our bodies are made, and outer wisdom of how food affects our health. I help my clients move away from restrictive diets and work towards a peaceful, compassionate relationship with food, movement, and wellness. I also use an integrative approach, looking for ways to address the root cause of gut and hormone imbalances through eating and lifestyle habits.

The first session is a chance to get to know one other and your particular goals for meeting together. This is where you have a safe, non-judgmental, and laid back space to freely share where you are coming from, what your current health habits look like, what your struggles are, and where you would like to be on your individual health journey. Together, we will set practical, short-term goals together based on your long-term goals for your health and wellness journey.
