I am a Registered Dietitian who specializes in disordered eating and eating disorder recovery. I have experience working with those who struggle with binge eating disorder, anorexia, bulimia, ARFID, mood-disorders and trauma at the inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from James Madison University, and have completed a distance dietetic internship/graduate certificate program from Illinois State University with a concentration in leadership. My career as a registered dietitian began with working at a psychiatric hospital during peak of the COVID-19 pandemic where I witnessed firsthand the impact the pandemic, weight-bias and diet culture had on mental health and rising eating disorder cases. My experience and continued education has continued to strengthen my advocacy for the Health At Every Size® framework, Intuitive Eating principles, and taking an All Foods Fit approach to nutrition.
I believe the relationship we have with food and our bodies is an intimate relationship, and acknowledging this I always aim to create a safe space for clients that is both judgement free and compassionate. I believe food freedom is something everyone is deserving and capable of achieving/maintaining, and would love to be part of your team to help you achieve this.
