Growing up in the south, food was always at the center of any gathering, and it is something that we as humans share a bond that crosses all cultures. I have a realistic approach to nutrition counseling and truly believe in “anything in moderation.” I believe that there are no “bad” foods, but moderation is key, and nutrition is all about achieving that healthy balance. In a session with me, I will help you identify and set goals that can easily be met. We will discuss basic nutrition principles and figure out the best strategies to help you reach your goals. I love helping my clients feel better, not only physically but emotionally as well. Reaching a health goal is a such a mood booster that will motivate you to keep going strong!
I have been a registered dietitian for 12 years and have been fortunate to work in a variety of dietetic fields such as menu planning and writing, long term care, weight loss, diabetic counseling, GLP-1 meal planning, and renal nutrition for the last six years. As a mom of two young girls and a farmers wife, I know firsthand that life is busy and can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to planning meals to fit everyone’s needs. I personally have struggled with weight loss in my past, so I know and understand how hard it can be when no matter what you try, you just can seem to reach your goals. Let me work with you to help develop your individualized nutrition plan to reach your wellness goals. Life can be hard, but food doesn’t have to be!
