As a dietitian of thirteen years working in various settings, I strongly believe that we are the professional that bridges the gap between the science in the literature, and the human in front of us. I've been able to practice nutrition care in hospitals, clinics, student health centers, as a mentor for high school students, and via the written word. I've also pursued special certifications such as the CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) and am about to test for the CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist). I guess I like to learn! I currently specialize in treating disordered eating/HAES, but am also confident in vegan and vegetarian/plant-based nutrition guidance, sports nutrition, diabetes management, and general health. As a queer-identified individual, I love to work with members of my community and recognize the particular challenges we face in regards to health.
"As a dietitian specializing in treating disordered eating, my goal is to work with you to undo a lifetime of dieting habits and get you to a place where food feels safe. My approach is holistic and collaborative, and my goal is to develop a good connection with you so that we can take those big leaps together."
