I have always had passions for science and helping others, but I discovered my love for nutrition when I took an elective course in college. I was fascinated to learn how nutrition affects all aspects of our health and can optimize sport performance, and decided to switch from a pre-med path to become a registered dietitian. I graduated with B.S. degrees in both Dietetics and Exercise Physiology and a M.S. degree in Sports Nutrition from Florida State University. I was also very involved in research in college, and although I am no longer in a research lab, I stay up to date with the latest clinical and sports nutrition research to continue to provide evidence-based interventions to my clients.
I have experience working with collegiate and professional football teams, supplement research and design, community nutrition programs, and clinical nutrition in acute care settings. I love getting to help people reach their personal health goals through balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. I do not believe in dieting, I believe in building healthy habits that are sustainable and realistic to meet individual goals.
When I am not working I like to spend my free time hiking, reading, traveling, weight lifting, and cooking. I love exploring new ways to stay active, especially outdoors! I love all animals and enjoy relaxing at home with my cat.
