Heather Brunk, RD

My goal as your Dietitian is that you leave with more knowledge than you came with and empowered to implement what you’ve learned. I want you to feel heard and understood. Nutrition and health are tied to every aspect of your life and I want to know what aspects are important to you and drive you to make decisions. I want to set you up for success.

My current focus and areas of expertise include general healthy eating, picky eating, non-diet focused nutrition. I am also able to provide nutrition counseling for specific disease states, allergies, and weight loss. I have spent most of my time working with women and children but am currently in a position where I am working with the general public.

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. I completed my internship with the VA/MD WIC program and spent almost ten years working at WIC providing nutrition counseling to pregnant & postpartum women, infants, and children. I also have clinical inpatient dietitian experience as well which has helped me become more well-rounded in the support I am able to provide.

A little about me: My biggest hobby is taking care of a vegetable garden in the summer, canning as much as I’m able to, and pretending I am a homesteader. I always spend more money on garden supplies than it would cost to just buy the produce, but there’s just something special about growing my own food to feed my family.

Building a private practice has always been my dream. I love connecting with people and learning what drives them. Nutrition can make or break so many other areas of life. I want to set people up to create a cascade of benefits for you, and the generations that follow. When concepts click and people get excited about nutrition and health, it gives me the drive to keep going. I am here for you!
