With my coaching, clients can expect detailed answers to questions and explanations of everything I recommend. If you are the kind of person who doesn't want to just be told what to do, but to be told why you're doing it, I think we'll be a great fit. I prefer to organize sessions as a casual but structured discussion, so that you always know what to expect from your next visit while having conversational freedom to talk about what matters to you.
I have experience in a wide range of areas, but I love helping people both gain and lose weight, build and maintain muscle, and control their diabetes. Additionally, I like helping people heal their relationship with food. A healthy diet should enrich your life, not burden it, and that means it should include foods you love.
I am currently living and working in Mississippi, but am originally from Point Pleasant, West Virginia (home of the Mothman!) and I have also lived in Philadelphia. My nutrition degree is from West Virginia University and my master's degree is from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. As someone who has made science their career, data and research are very important to me. At my day job, I spend hours on end combing through the latest nutrition research so that I can give my clients the most up to date information available.
In my spare time, I like lifting weights, restoring old cars, and playing video games. However, my Corgi, named Maple, demands I spend most of my time throwing a ball for her. So if you notice me rubbing a sore shoulder during a session, it's probably my ball throwing arm.
