Jennifer Moore, RD

Having worked with kidney patients since 1998, I have to say; you have my heart. I spent many years working in dialysis and saw firsthand how hard that life could be, so in 2012, I began working in the predialysis space as well to keep people off of dialysis.  I also specialize in cardiovascular disease, as I have the genes for familial hypercholesterolemia. Watching my family struggle with this disease, I found a way to treat myself naturally and can help you too!

I believe that nutrition is more than a lifestyle change; it is a first-line treatment. I view my clients and myself as a team. We are on a mission together to help you be as healthy and whole as possible. As a former cheerleader, you may find me sometimes stepping to the sideline of our team and cheering you on as you leap hurdles and cross finish lines. I can’t help myself. My husband often refers to me as the “eternal cheerleader.”

My education includes a BS in nutrition from Mississippi State University, internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and a MS in nutrition from Central Michigan University. I have passed the renal specialty exam 4 times. I am certified plant-based from Cornell University. I have authored 2 books, the PlantFed Kidney series, and numerous research articles.

Personally, I love cooking, working out, and spending time with my four kids, husband, and two dogs. Warm weather and sunshine make me happy, and the beach is my favorite place to visit.

My gift is taking complex subjects like chronic kidney disease or cardiovascular health and simplifying them to be easy to understand. Plant-based nutrition is an area of expertise. Since I have been plant-based myself for 19 years, I have learned many tips and tricks I can share. I look forward to getting to know you and achieving great things together!
