I first started thinking about weight problems when I was a child. One evening, everyone but my mother was at the dinner table. When I rushed into the kitchen to find her, I must have startled her. She was weighing peas on a kitchen scale, and now they were spilling all over the floor. When I asked my elegant, Swedish mother what she was doing, she said, "I'm fat! I'm on a diet and I have to lose weight!" Years later, when faced with choosing a major in college, I chose nutrition.  It's only now that I realize, after years of reflection, why I'm so passionate about my work: to help people like my mother, and anyone out there who needs to change their eating habits for health reasons, too. It doesn't have to be painful, and you shouldn't feel deprived. I've had 30+ years of intense training and experience in the nutrition, behavioral sciences, and communications fields. These unique qualifications allow me to create enjoyable, personalized eating and health plans that are simple, joyful, and can last forever. No more depressing diets!
