My name is Kristen Burm, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 30 years of experience in nutrition and wellness. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and Indoor Cycling Instructor.
For 25 years, I have practiced as a Renal Dietitian, working with clients in Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and I am a Certified Renal Nutrition Specialist. My focal point is to help prevent or prolong the progression of kidney disease for those who are in Stages 2-4 CKD, since diet is vital.
My passion for fitness and wellness has also provided me with experience working in weight management. I focus on healthy eating/living that is realistic, attainable and sustainable. Another key component is encouragement of daily physical movement, as it benefits the mind and the body. Food is fuel! I love to work with athletes, especially educating young adults on the impact that proper nutrition and hydration can have on sports performance.
Outside of work, I love to hang out with my 3 young-adult children, husband, and yellow lab. Staying physically active is an important part of my life- I enjoy long walks on the beach and my work as a fitness class instructor.
