Hi, thanks for reading about my practice. I am happy you are here. Feedback I get from clients is that I am caring, good at listening with empathy and helpful at navigating their nutrition journey with them. I see each patient as an individual, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition or a magic diet. The truth is health is nurtured over time just like any worthy pursuit. Feeling good and looking good is an inside out process and I can help you get there.
I have been a registered dietitian since 2004, I am experienced working with a variety of people including children, families and athletes, those working to improve their lives using nutrition to treat conditions like CKD, diabetes, PCOS, estrogen dominance, heart disease, blood pressure, weight issues, digestive issues, substance abuse and addiction, cancer and eating disorders. As a dietitian I like to work with patients consistently and see their progress firsthand.
In 2011, after working as an out-patient clinic dietitian in Denver I joined the team at Eating Recovery Center in Denver as a float dietitian in every level of care. This was tremendously hard work, but it gave me experience and perspective that I now appreciate more looking back. I am currently studying for my certification for eating disorder specialist.
In 2013 I opened a private practice in Colorado alongside a great therapist. I was dealing with some health issues of my own without much luck from allopathic care. I joined an online health summit and stumbled upon a functional nutrition training that felt cutting edge at the time. Ultimately, I completed Andrea Nakayama’s Holistic Nutrition Lab digestive intensive training. I enjoyed the course and benefited so much that I studied with her for her Full Body Systems training course then her Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner certification program in 2016 and 2017, respectively. These courses helped me to see each patient through a functional lens and create a framework for improving health and outcomes for challenging conditions like autoimmune disease, IC, SIBO, hormone imbalances, digestive issues and food sensitivities. And I improved my own health along the way!
In 2019 I completed my 200-hour yoga teaching certification and restorative yoga training and I’ve enjoyed teaching yoga flow and restorative classes. I am a believer in mindfulness practices, breath work and physical fitness; they have always helped me on my health journey.
Currently, I enjoy raising my 2 athlete sons, keeping their nutrition on track for high level sports and staying up to date on the latest nutrition and therapeutic diet trends.
I would be honored to assist you with your health and nutrition goals.
