I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, RDN and licensed dietitian. I have worked with athletes on the collegiate level as Certified Specialist In Sports Dietetics, CSSD at University of Nevada, Reno. At UNR I also helped patients who wanted bariatric surgery learn their future change in eating habits, as well as patients post surgery adapt to their new bodies and new nutrition needs. I am working on obtaining my CSO, Certified Specialist in Oncology My passion for nutrition started with sports nutrition, as I am a former triathlete collegiate and water polo player. When I’m college, my father was diagnosed with lymphoma. During his fight, I was introduced to his dietitian. Seeing the effect of nutrition on how he felt during, and after treatment, drove my desire to become a dietitian home. When your body is fighting both a disease, and have side effects from drugs, eating can be a major challenge. Helping find foods your body can tolerate during the obstacles of taste change, nausea, appetite…the list goes on, can help patients continue treatment and prevent recurrence. To create a change in your life, your health, and how you feel, you need to put in the effort. I am the guide to help make these changes.
