Originally from North Pole, Alaska, I earned bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology, Exercise Science from Boise State University and in Dietetics from Idaho State University. My path to becoming a dietitian was shaped by my personal struggle with food intolerances, which opened my eyes to the profound impact of nutrition on well-being. This experience fueled my passion for helping others navigate their own dietary challenges and improve their quality of life.
My background in exercise science and nutrition initially led me to focus on performance-based nutrition for professional and collegiate athletes. However, as my career progressed, I developed a strong passion for individual nutrition counseling aimed at improving overall quality of life. My experience spans diverse settings—including long-term care, acute care hospitals, ICUs, dialysis centers, psychiatric facilities, and diabetes and weight loss clinics. This broad range of settings has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support a wide array of people, conditions, and goals, allowing me to effectively support a wide variety of individuals. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and keeping up with the latest research and techniques to better support my clients in reaching their health and well-being goals. This commitment to continuous professional growth ensures that I offer the most effective and current strategies for your success.
