Background
Marisa “Isabel” Mendes is a Registered Dietitian with over 20 years of experience working in various inpatient and outpatient settings. Isabel received her B.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Georgia State University and has a B.A. degree in Spanish. Isabel has a strong interest in Psychology and has obtained training and experience in various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Isabel is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
Isabel's passion is helping clients develop a peaceful, flexible relationship with food and their bodies. She empowers them to make informed choices that support their physical and emotional health, free from the constraints of diet culture and unrealistic body standards.
In her spare time, Isabel enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with family, and snuggling with her cat Zipper.
