My name is Michele Brooks, and I am a
Registered and Licensed Dietitian as well as a Certified Diabetes and Education Specialist. I specialize in intestinal and digestive issues, diabetes, hormones, supplement management, nutrigenomics (how nutrition affects your DNA), and functional and integrative nutrition.
My interest in nutrition began with my own health journey. Personal medical issues have included IBS, hypothyroidism, colon cancer, autoimmune disease, and lipedema. While each of these have been challenging, I believe that each has provided an opportunity for me to have a greater understanding of what my patients experience. It has also kindled a passion to research in order to find the best possible strategy to help my patients as well as myself to experience the greatest quality of life possible. I am so thankful to celebrate 15 years of being cancer free!
I enjoy getting to know my patients and building a relationship of trust. My desire is to help each person take one step at a time as I walk along beside them on their health journey.
I also strive to balance my work and personal life. I am a Nana to 5 amazing grandchildren and carve out time each week to spend quality time with them. I also love to walk with my 3 dogs, who are more like children, and play volleyball.
