Welcome! I’m Michelle, a Registered Dietitian with over ten years of diverse experience in hospitals, universities, and community settings. I’m passionate about nurturing a healthy relationship with food—without strict rules or dieting restrictions—and my approach centers on fostering a mind–body connection through intuitive eating. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all diet, I work with you to explore your personal habits, preferences, and life experiences, guiding you to make choices that support a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.
Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Master’s degree in Nutrition, and advanced training including a certificate in Overweight and Obesity Weight Management for Pediatrics and Adults, I blend scientific insight with empathetic support. My training and career at Cleveland Clinic opened doors for me to work with diverse populations—including bariatric, oncology patients, individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular, renal issues, and those requiring nutrition support (tube feeding and TPN)—as well as patients in cardiology, gastroenterology, transplant, colorectal, general surgery, and eating disorders.
I provide individualized nutrition counseling, education, and tailored care plans to optimize health outcomes and manage specific medical conditions. In addition, I am trained in nutrition-focused physical examinations to detect malnutrition, ensuring every aspect of your nutritional status is carefully considered.
My non-diet philosophy honors the importance of mental and emotional well-being, emphasizing that lasting change comes from understanding rather than restriction. Through intuitive eating and motivational interviewing, I help you tune into your body’s signals, address underlying habits and beliefs, and build a positive, nurturing relationship with food. Together, we’ll set realistic goals, monitor progress, and celebrate the small victories that lead to sustainable lifestyle changes and improved health markers.
I am dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can comfortably share your challenges and triumphs. Whether you’re seeking guidance in medical nutrition therapy or simply looking for a more balanced approach to eating, my goal is to offer comprehensive, patient-centered support. By leveraging the latest evidence-based methodologies, I deliver personalized strategies that enhance treatment efficacy while boosting patient engagement and overall well-being.
If you’re ready to break free from the cycle of diets and embark on a journey toward a healthier, more joyful relationship with food, I’d love to work with you. Let’s explore how small, mindful changes can lead to profound, lasting improvements in your health and quality of life.
About me: I currently reside in Atlanta, GA, with my husband and son. My passion for nutrition was ignited by witnessing a close family member’s struggle with malnutrition during a cancer journey, inspiring me to research how nutrition can be a vital part of healing and wellness. I’m excited to share my expertise and support you in achieving your nutritional goals.
