Often what blocks us from achieving health goals is not a lack of willpower, but a lack of knowledge. Unsure of what is “good or bad” for us, you can rest assured that through a conversation with me, we can find which of your habits are contributing to your health, and which may need some modification to get you there. Through active listening and education, we can create a sustainable plan together to create change from the inside out with your daily habits.
Areas of focus for my practice include pre-diabetes and diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, plant-based diets, and weight management with a health at every size approach. With health and wellbeing being at the forefront of our sessions, you are sure to feel more confident in your food choices, regain vitality and gain the knowledge to be certain you are doing everything in your power to take care of You.
Having recently moved to a new city on my own, I know how challenging it can be to “do everything right” when it comes to nutrition. Feeding ourselves is hard work! Extra points if you have a family. Therefore I want you to know that my approach is realistic, and I am here to help you find solutions that will work for your unique routine and lifestyle.
As a Clinical Registered Dietitian in the acute inpatient setting, I see patients daily that could’ve potentially avoided being hospitalized if they had had the privilege to access Medical Nutrition Therapy. My mission is to work in the outpatient setting as a preventative provider, to manage nutrition-related health conditions before the tipping point. Through small, manageable and realistic changes and adjustments, along with education, your optimal health is within reach.
