Background
Hi! My name is Rachel Bailey, RD, LDN- I am a Registered Dietitian with a master’s degree in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor’s in biology from Taylor University. My husband and I moved to Maryland in 2020 from the Midwest, and have enjoyed all things East Coast, especially crab cakes (Am I right?!). I fell in love with all things nutrition when I recognized its power to dramatically increase a person’s quality of life. My education and experience consist of working with clients to develop a healthy relationship with their food while helping them work toward their nutrition goals.
I have been confused by food and nutrition before. I understand the frustration of trying different “diets” and not being able to stick with them and seeing no results. A friend telling you one thing while the media tells you another. It is confusing and frustrating. My goal is to help you understand nutrition so that you can make educated decisions for yourself and your health. When I found out that I was not failing the diet the diet was failing me my perspective changed. When I understood how nutrients work in my body, I was able to see a sustainable way to eat that leads to health. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your nutrition journey.

"My goal is to teach you HOW to eat not exactly WHAT to eat because we are all different and life can throw curve balls at us. I want you to feel empowered to make the best decision for your body. I believe patients should understand how different nutrients work in their body so they can be in charge of their health. We leave shame and guilt about food at the door and we have a relaxed and fun conversation about your goals! Bring your favorite coffee/tea/sparkling water and let’s chat nutrition!"
