My interest in the impact of nutrition on health blossomed in high school as I witnessed the positive effect lifestyle changes had on my father’s journey with hypertension, diabetes and cancer.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology, I completed coursework in Winthrop University’s graduate program in Human Nutrition and was accepted into Winthrop’s Dietetic Internship program (Prisma Richland Hospital, UofSC Arnold School of Public Health/diabetes telehealth, dialysis concentrations). I gained experience in clinical nutrition in all areas in a hospital setting, long term care/geriatrics, & have served over 20 years in dialysis for both home therapy and in-center clients. I was recently awarded recognition for quality of care in dialysis from a national pool of nominees.
I love cooking & baking with my daughter and enjoy a little gardening when I have time. Life has “seasoned” me through various challenges and prepared me to share my experience & expertise to help my clients overcome their own health and lifestyle challenges. I like to meet my clients where they are in their journey and support each individual as they grow toward reaching their goals.
