As I approach the end of my four-year journey as an Active Duty Army Dietitian, specializing in Tactical Performance Nutrition as part of the Holistic Health and Fitness Program, I seek new opportunities to serve as a conscientious Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working one-on-one with clients in pursuit of optimizing their diet, nutrition, health, relationship to food-body-movement, and enhancing quality of life for themselves and loved ones.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition: Didactic Program in Dietetics from San Diego State University. I completed my dietetic internship through Garden to Table Nutrition in Bothell, WA with a variety of rotations across California and Washington. After passing the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam, I became a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a sole proprietorship for private practice in Washington state, Nutrition as Compass.
In my practice, I focus on integrative-functional nutrition combined with a culinary nutrition approach, promoting the idea that all foods can fit into a healthy diet. I curate dietary and lifestyle guidance based on client food system access to best facilitate self-efficacy and client outcomes. Through evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and behavioral counseling, I provide person-centered nutrition coaching and care, whether client objectives are to optimize athletic performance and training, manage chronic health conditions, improve eating behaviors and relationship with food and body, or to build better eating and lifestyle habits to promote overall quality of life, health and wellbeing, and longevity.
