Hi! My name is Sara. I am a registered dietitian based in the sunny state of Florida. My goal is to help you develop a healthier relationship with food by guiding you toward a balanced, sustainable approach to eating. I believe all foods can fit into a healthy lifestyle when had in moderation and want to help you make choices that nourish your body, while also allowing room for enjoyment. Together, we will work toward finding a balance where you feel confident in your food choices and cultivate a sense of well-being and freedom around eating.
I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in dietetics from Florida State University (Go Noles!). My passion for nutrition was sparked by growing up with a parent who lives with type 1 diabetes. From this, I've seen firsthand how a balanced approach and food freedom can support a healthy life, even while managing a chronic condition. With nearly two years of clinical experience in an inpatient setting, I have had the opportunity of helping critically ill individuals with chronic diseases, such as heart failure, diabetes, and renal disease. I believe that proper nutrition is essential not only for fueling a healthy life, but also for preventing and managing chronic conditions. Additionally, I specialize in supporting individuals who are PEG-dependent and rely on tube feeding for their nutrition.
In my free time, I love cooking homemade meals, thrift shopping, going to the beach, reading a good book, and spending time with friends and family. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey toward a healthier, more balanced relationship with food!
