I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in the treatment of disordered eating and eating disorders. I’m deeply invested in helping normalize a person's eating patterns using a non-diet, weight-neutral approach, while achieving health that is without guilt. I believe in a life of freedom—free from dieting, food rules, restrictions, rigidity, compulsions, and shame. I will help support and guide you in your nutrition journey. We work together to find peace and balance – whatever that might look like for you. Because every client is unique, treatment plans are customized to meet their specific needs.
I have over two decades of experience providing nutrition therapy in a variety of settings. I began my career in hospitals across Kansas City, later specializing in diabetes care within a private endocrinology practice. Over time, I developed a passion for helping people with disordered eating patterns and exercise issues, which led me to a role at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver in 2003.
In 2006, I opened my private practice, drawing on my diverse experience in clinical, fitness, and behavioral health settings. After 20 wonderful years in Colorado, I’m happy to be back in my home state of California.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and baking with my family, exploring local wineries, and spending time by the beach. I love hiking, paddleboarding, pickleball—and cheering for the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas City Chiefs! I share my home office with my two shih tzus, Stella and Luna, who often offer a little extra comfort during client sessions.
At Summit Nutrition, I want to help you rediscover what it means to fuel your body in a regular, safe way, that feels good and supports your health goals. I’ll partner with you to restore your relationship with food, trust your body, and to reclaim what healthy looks like, while nourishing your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I believe that the number on a scale should not define someone’s value and worth. Everyone can learn to normalize their eating patterns and enjoy food and moving their body while avoiding the unhealthy spiral of constant obsession.
I help my clients work through real-life challenges with practical, empowering strategies—like learning how to meal plan, grocery shop, cook, improve sleep, manage stress, and exercise in a healthy, mindful way.
I’m passionate about guiding high school students navigate a successful and healthy transition into college by providing expert nutrition support and compassionate care, so they can begin this new chapter feeling confident and free from their eating disorder.
Instead of using my personal training background in the traditional way, I focus on supporting clients who struggle with compulsive or excessive exercise, guiding them toward a more balanced and positive relationship with movement.
It would be my privilege to partner with you to “Take Your Health to New Peaks"!
"I offer personalized nutrition therapy for individuals and families, along with a variety of other services. My mission is to empower my clients to create a healthy and positive relationship with both food and their bodies."
