Around 15 years ago, I realized that my unhealthy eating habits and sedentary lifestyle were catching up to me. I was overweight, had high cholesterol, and was on the verge of developing Diabetes. I researched how to lose weight and began making healthy lifestyle changes. I lost 20 pounds, lowered my cholesterol, and brought my blood sugar back into normal ranges. It took more than a year. During that time, I became passionate about nutrition and lifestyle change and decided I wanted to help others improve their health too. So, I went back to school to become a Registered Dietitian. It took 7 long years to finish it all, but I graduated from and completed my internship with Oklahoma State University in 2017. I have lived my dream of helping others improve their health ever since.
I am a Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management. I have experience in Bariatric nutrition, chronic disease prevention, pre-diabetes and Diabetes management, and weight loss.
Outside of my career, I like to spend time with my husband, Calvin, and three cats - Theon, Sansa, and Tormund. I unapologetically identify as a crazy cat lady. I am a homebody that enjoys reading, video games, board games, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
