Background

The mission of my practice is to support clients with compassion, kindness, and respect. Through my lived experience with disordered eating, I assist clients with developing healthier relationships with food and their body image. My work with clients is collaborative, as a partner in their health journey. Each situation is individual, and the care provided is completely client-centered. My weight-inclusive practice is a safe space for clients to contemplate their health goals. I help clients release the guilt and shame surrounding food to reach a place of self-compassion. Clients learn to shift their focus from weight and calories to more intentional and mindful eating. This safe and sustainable method moves clients toward better health while still thriving emotionally and physically. Having been a dietitian for many years, I have seen the evolution of diet culture and the harm that it has caused, particularly to women. Releasing the need to look a certain way, be a specific weight, and abide by strict diet rules can be exhilarating. Imagine a life where ALL food is allowed, and you do not have to restrict yourself from eating what you love or torture yourself with endless exercise to “earn” a treat. I can help you reach a place of healing and growth you once thought unattainable. I like to teach clients that anything is possible! Two years ago, I overcame my intense fear of cycling and learned to ride a road bike, having never learned as a child. You can find me on a group ride or pedaling away on my indoor trainer when I am not working with clients. Further, proof that anything is achievable regardless of age or skill level! I have regained my why for becoming a dietitian through my recent work. For this reason, I am expanding beyond my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition and Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology by working toward earning a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credential to assist my clients better. I primarily work with adult women struggling with disordered eating, eating disorders, body image concerns, poor relationships with food, and athletes of all levels. I especially enjoy working with female cyclists. With my knowledge and personal experience, I aspire to enrich the lives of every client I meet so they can comfortably experience their best lives.
